Badgerys Creek is right beside the airport site, and the name most people still use for it. South West Sydney is one of the fastest-growing parts of the city, and WSI gives it an airport that is close to home.

The drive from Badgerys Creek to the WSI terminal at Luddenham covers about 5 km and takes around 10 min when traffic is light. Trips usually use the M12 Motorway, Elizabeth Drive, Bringelly Road or The Northern Road, depending on where you start.

Getting there without a car

Bus routes 825 and 860 connect Liverpool with the airport and route 845 links Campbelltown via Oran Park, generally every 30 minutes between about 5am and 10pm. WSI runs without a curfew, so for late-night and early-morning flights, or for anyone travelling with a group and luggage, a pre-booked transfer is the simpler option.

Badgerys Creek to Sydney Airport

Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport at Mascot is about 50 km from Badgerys Creek, around 50 min off-peak. That makes WSI the closer airport by about 45 km, but many airlines and routes still fly only from Sydney Airport, so we cover both.
